Robert "Rob" Allen Gibbons (46) went home to eternity on August 7, 2017. He fought a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis for over 2.5 years!

Rob was born June 30, 1971 to Ronald, and Harriet Gibbons (Hoover). He was preceded in death by Father, Ronald Gibbons, and John Kehner, his adopted father.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Christine (Pittman) Gibbons, daughters, Kayla, Katelyn, and Madison Gibbons. Mother, Harriet Hoover, parents in law Garry, and Gayla Pittman. Sisters Cheryl Kehner, and Amanda (Tom) Guthy, and brother Lenny Hoover. Special niece Brittany (Shayne) Dean, and dear friends Todd, and Krystal Phillips, along with many other beloved family, and friends.

Those who knew Rob would tell you that his wife, and children were his world. He worked hard to provide for them, including working a 12 hour shift the day he was admitted into the ICU. His employer, Automated Packaging has been amazing support to our family. Rob also could fix ANYTHING... he leaves behind pieces parts from computers to video games that he would use to fix things for family, and friends. He started getting video games out of peoples' trash as a kid--truly amazing. Rob was one of a kind with a heart of gold, always willing to help anyone, even while toting an oxygen tank.

Friends will be received Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Pastor Jason Moore officiating the funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made at any Huntington Bank to the Robert Gibbons Memorial Fund - Account # 04599237429.
